14 - 14 Tie , Bath's Lone Blemish

Allen East Deadlocks Bath

Allen east's upset minded Mustangs led

throughout most of the game here Friday night

against Bath, but had to resort to last-second heroics

to save a 14 - 14 tie.

The game pitted the Northwest Conference's

third place finisher against Western Buckeye's champion

Bath, which finished the season 9-0-1 for it's best record

since 1965. Allen East is 7-2-1.

Earning the tie for the Mustangs was junior halfback

Pat Clark, who caught a 57 yard pass from quarterback

Jim Hensley for a touchdown with 46 seconds left, and

Charlie Hensley, who swept right end on an option play

for the game tying two-point conversion.

As the Mustangs quarterback Jim Hensley was being hit,

he still managed to get the TD pass away to Clark.
